    Good morning

Our facility is in the process of signing up inmate for the Affordable Care ACT. However, it cannot be used for inmates that are sentenced.

    • Pending disposition of charges. This means the individual has been charged with a crime but is waiting for the outcome of the charges to be determined. This includes situations in which an individual is arrested but not convicted of a crime and convicted of a crime but awaiting sentencing, whether confined to a correctional institution or released on bail, bond, or other conditional release.

This of course creates some logistical issues. I am reaching out for information from agencies that currently use ACA for their inmate population. When do you all start the enrollment process? I thought about doing it during intake but that maybe a waste of our resources due to the amount of inmate who post bond.

    All feedback is appreciated
