Florida HB 967 has been approved by the Governor and will become effective on January 1, 2027. HB 967 requires each unit of local government, including all municipalities, special districts, counties, and county constitutional officer, to accept payment by the use of credit card, charge cards, bank debit cards, and electronic funds transfers for financial obligations owed to the local government, except when another form of payment is required by law.

Although our legal department states, this HB does not apply to bond payments, I'm looking for agencies currently using a kiosk for electronic bail payments and/or an intake kiosk for cash deposits for feedback. Our current policy requires the exact cash amount for bonds. You can contact me directly or reply to this post. Thank you.
