The COVID-19 Detection and Mitigation in Confinement Facilities (CDMCF) Training and Technical Assistance (TTA) Center at the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) would like to invite four confinement agencies/facilities to receive support updating their facility pandemic plans. We have heard from many in the field that the plans that were in place during the COVID-19 pandemic were not sufficient for meeting the needs of confinement facilities during their response efforts. If selected, a CDMCF TTA Team of experts will review your existing plan, meet with your key stakeholders in a one-day workshop to discuss the plan's efficacy against a future public health emergency or infectious disease outbreak, then work with your team to revise the plan to ensure your agency/facility is best prepared for upcoming needs.
If you are interested in receiving this free support, please reach out to bjacdmcf@cna.org by October 6, 2023, and provide the following information:
- Agency/Facility Name
- Address
- Point of Contact
- Number and type of facilities (Prison, Large/Mega Jail, Small Jail, or Juvenile)
- Status of the current pandemic plan
o Do you have a stand-alone pandemic plan? Or is infectious disease response a component of another plan?
o When was it last updated?
