Our agency's wellness team is exploring the idea of hosting a Family Day, and we are currently in the early planning stages. I'm reaching out to see if any agencies have held a similar event in the past or currently host one.
We're looking for ideas, activities, or best practices for what to offer family members while they're on-site. A guided tour of the jail is being considered, along with an introduction to the world of corrections and a brief history presentation about our agency (possibly through a PowerPoint).
If your agency has experience with Family Day events, I would greatly appreciate any insight, suggestions, or examples of what worked well for you.
