I am currently in search of an incident reporting system that functions, essentially, like a mobile field reporting app that is simple and easy to use for jail officers. I would love to find a product such as Central Square's ONEsolution RMS/MFR, but optimized to work with my existing JMS (Jailtracker).
I have put out feelers around the state and most everyone seems to be typing them off printing them, which I desperately want to get away from.
The general idea being that:
- Officer writes report and submits
- Report forwarded to first line supervisors for approval/denial and corrections
- If returned for correction, return to step 1. If approved, forwarded area supervisor for approval/denial/correction.
- After area supervisor approval, forwarded to Chief of Security
- After Chief of Security, report is archived either within report software or attached to inmate file and imported into JMS.
- The process remains entirely paperless, assigns its own incident number, and is searchable/reportable.
Does anyone out there have something like this working in their facility? I have looked at having one programmed for us, but I don't like being tied to a certain individual for that sort of operational knowledge. Any assistance is deeply appreciated.
