I oversee all of the programming inside the facility and a host of other things. I oversee the Law Library and this is how I ended up here. We are seeing more inmates who request use of the physical Law Library. Our policy is that only those who are representing themselves are allowed access to that library (there is legal access on the tablets to all). We are getting requests from people who may have 5 charges, and only representing themselves on 1 charge. In addition, we have inmates who are being convicted and want to appeal but they want to represent themselves for this process. I just want to make sure we are providing the correct service. I am not finding anything pertaining to this and was wondering if anyone would be willing to share their policy, point me in the right direction or give me some tips/information. Anything would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
