I am reaching out to request some information regarding on-site jail visitation schedules. We are looking at the overall operations of our visitation unit and wanted to see what other agencies doing.
We currently offer visitation for families, friends, and officials on all days except Sundays and Monday. On Sunday and Monday, we offer official visitation and special events such as inmate marriages.
I am curious to learn about the visitation rules and schedules implemented in your respective agencies.
Specifically, I would like to inquire about the following:
· The specific days and hours during which you maintain full visits throughout the week?
· Do you have a similar visitation schedule to Travis County, or are there any notable differences?
· Are there any specific days during the week when inmates are only allowed to have official visits?
· Do you ever close your visitation center?
· Any additional insights or observations you may have regarding visitation schedules or related matters would also be highly appreciated.
