Our agency is currently exploring alternatives to the traditional Kosher meal offerings. We've observed that a significant portion of our population requests these meals not out of religious necessity, but due to their overall appeal. As a result, we are considering transitioning to a more broadly categorized "religious meal" option that maintains quality while ensuring the integrity of religious accommodations.
If I'm not mistaken, the Florida Department of Corrections and possibly Miami-Dade County have implemented similar programs. If anyone has information or insight into how these agencies structure their religious meal programs, your input would be greatly appreciated.
