'm reaching out to gather feedback from other facilities regarding how you conduct legal visits within your institutions.
We are currently reviewing our practices and would appreciate insight on the following:
-
Do you offer video legal visits, in-person visits, or a combination of both?
-
If in-person, are visits conducted through a partition (non-contact) or as physical contact visits?
-
Are there specific classification or security-based restrictions that determine the type of legal visit allowed?
-
Are the inmates restrained during these visits?
- Have you experienced any operational or security challenges related to your current model?
- If you have transitioned from one model to another (e.g., contact to video), what lessons learned would you be willing to share?
Any feed back would be appreciated, thank you!
