We are experiencing some issues with law enforcement frustration when we refuse booking without medical clearance for anyone involved in a motor vehicle accident. Our medical providers' policy is to refuse anyone involved in an accident within the past twenty-four hours regardless of whether there are apparent injuries. We do not accept if an EMT cleared them in the field due to their limited scope of practice.
This has resulted in some pushback. I am interested in everyone's criteria for decision-making on this issue.
