The first week of May marks National Correctional Officers Week. From May 5-11, 2024, correctional facilities across America will be honoring their staff in various ways, through parties, feasts, award recognition, raffles, games, and more. During this time, the American Jail Association asks you to share how you thanked your staff for their services and celebrated their contributions to society.
The September/October issue of American Jails features a spread showcasing how local corrections celebrated National Correctional Officers Week, and we need your help!
Submissions are due May 24, 2024. Send photos and a description of how you celebrated at your facility to our editor, Madyson Bracken, at MadysonB@aja.org. Don't forget to take plenty of photos!
