I know this is a big topic to discuss on a forum, but I am looking for programs to enhance what we currently have!
This is what we have so far:
NA, AA, Numerous Bible studies, fatherhood initiative program(teaches to be better fathers), arts & crafts, book club, Yoga, MRT, T4C, GED, Mental Health, Re-Entry (where we help with getting benefits, housing, medical and mental health appointments, arrange appointments with probation and other criminal justice involved agencies), positive empowerment (ex-inmates come in and talk with current inmates about how they changed their lives for the better), anger management, job tech(basic interview skills and resume writing), and financial literacy(budgeting type class), crochet class.
We are a facility that can house 392 (ADP is currently 223) and very limited funds. We use volunteers for most of the classes and have 2 program staff members. Thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated!
