I am proud to be a member of AJA's Veteran's Committee. One of our goals is to find ways that agencies are supporting and recognizing veterans in their ranks and what unique services/programming facilities are utilizing for veterans who are incarcerated. I know that many are doing just this. I would like to write an article for the AJA Magazine to highlight some of these veteran initiatives.
Please, if you agency provides specific support or recognition to the veterans who serve in your ranks and/or if you facility has special programming/services for those veterans that are incarcerated and you would like to share, please send me: 1) Agency name and location, 2) a brief description of what you are doing, and, 3) a point of contact should a member of our AJA family wants to reach out for more information. If you do not have a point of contact, that is fine, do not let that stop you from sharing the good things you are doing. Thank you for all that you do. Stay safe.
