I am a new Jail Administrator for our small detention facility (approximately 50-70 beds). We are currently developing policies and procedures for medical care. As our facility does not have on-site medical staff, our personnel administer prepackaged medication prescribed by a medical professional to inmates.
I would greatly appreciate any guidance, templates, or best practice resources you may have regarding medical policies and procedures in a detention setting.
