Good afternoon! I am looking for any information or policies from agencies who use seatbelts or have seatbelts in the vans / vehicles used in transporting inmates. We have two county jail facilities, and our Custody Transportation Unit transports inmates in buses, vans, and occasionally standard caged passenger vehicles. Our vans and buses do not currently have seatbelts.
