Good afternoon,
Our county's new courthouse has an area designed for rapid intakes. The goal of this area is to process individuals who have a pending warrant that is found while they are at the courthouse. If these individuals can pay the applicable bond, they will be fingerprinted, processed, and released without going to the main facility. If not, they would be transported to the main facility after processing. This could also serve as a rapid intake for individuals wanting to turn themselves in without going to the main facility which can typically be busy with long wait times. Are there any other agencies that are doing anything similar to this? I have a few questions regarding the medical aspect and if there needs to be a time frame for these individuals to be seen by a medical professional. Thank you for any insight.
