Hello everyone, I hope everyone is doing well!
I will not be able to attend the summit on mental health coming up. My first ask is there anyone out there with someone that is licensed MH professional and an employee of the Sheriff's Office? We contract this service out but want to write a proposal trying to gain the support for us having our own MH person for staff. In my mind the position would grow into where we would have a MH Director overseeing at least 2 employees both licensed MH professionals and all be on the Sheriff's Office payroll. One person for staffs wellbeing and one to supplement our contracted MH for detainees and our future behavioral health unit. If any of all that made any sense and you have some advice, policies, or how you made something like this happen let me know.
My second ask is any information or examples of current staffing analysis. I'm tasked with making one for our facility and have never done anything like that before.
